Job Description:

We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Business Analyst, ITG in the Innovation and Technology Group. Reporting to the Manager, Innovative Travel Solutions (ITS), the successful candidate will provide research, analysis and project management for business opportunities related to YVR’s Innovation Hub, as well as global business development opportunities for BORDERXPRESS.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform due diligence research, analysis and reporting on each new country engagement for Global BORDERXPRESS which helps inform strategic market decision making and recommendations
  • Managing and producing responses for Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Information (RFI) and other related BORDERXPRESS tenders from around the world
  • Identify when potential partnerships require formal documentation to capture the nature of the agreement through MOU’s and Non-disclosure agreements
  • Contribute to project definitions, initial cost assessment of projects, and integration of various project suppliers and vendors
  • Shaping and developing the Innovation Hub (IH) program by performing business analysis, project management, internal and external promotion, intake management, and supporting the funding and partner strategy
  • Determine project requirements and identify key stakeholders using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process analysis, use cases, and task and workflow analysis
  • Evaluate, interpret, and present evidence of project findings to stakeholders/decision-makers in a clear and concise manner
  • Research and develop potential use cases/business cases and ensure they meet IH strategic objectives
  • Establish framework and conduct due diligence on each potential partner to build partnership agreements and/or other contract types

Job Requirements:

  • Detail oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with the flexibility to adapt in an ever-changing environment
  • Proven ability to problem solve and formulate decisions, often without established guidelines
  • Demonstrated research and analysis, project management and change management experience
  • 5 years’ recent, related experience, supplemented by a bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including interpersonal, consultative and facilitation skills
