Job Description:
The Educational Consultant supports schools throughout Yukon with best instructional practices and curriculum and policy implementation. The position works collaboratively with colleagues to determine the most effective methods for achieving common educational goals.
Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of six years of academic/professional training including possession of a Master’s degree in Educatio
- Security Clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Experience as an instructional leader; coach or mentor to teachers
- Valid class 5 driver’s licence
- At least 6 years of recent experience as a teacher, administrator or education consultant in a K- 12 school environment.
- Experience developing or assessing early learning framework or working in a primary school environment is considered an asset
- Experience incorporating First Nations cultures and traditions in curriculum, policy development and classroom instruction
- Experience supporting students and/or teachers in Trades or Experiential education is considered an asset
- Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures is considered an asset
- Experience facilitating or participating in inquiry processes
