Job Description:

Working alongside the Product Manager, the Product Owner will be the champion of their product’s digital channel performance and delivery. As the Product Owner you will be responsible for defining the product’s capabilities and features based on the product’s overall vision and support the delivery of the product roadmap.  This opportunity will enable working in collaboration with our partners, internal stakeholders, and team members across the Guest Experience team including, but not limited to, Insights and Analytics, Experience Design and Technology delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in guest/user accounts or profiles, loyalty programs and/or personalization across an e-commerce platform.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Providing day to day support on the implementation of large-scale projects
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver digital initiatives
  • Writing user stories, creating and prioritizing features within the product backlog
  • Defining key metrics for digital initiatives and projections/estimated impact, while serving as a champion for digital channel performance
  • Proactively present key digital reports to stakeholders, and outline recommendations
  • Influence and assist on strategic vision for WestJet through assigned digital touch points
  • Provide analysis and implementation recommendations for all digital enhancements
  • Define, prioritize and validate the Product roadmap and backlog, using multiple data sources and customer insights to continuously drive improvements to the guest experience, online conversion and engagement in the WestJet Loyalty program
  • Knowledge, advocation and delivery of brand tone and digital styling across all digital touch points
  • Research, recommend and lead implementation, where applicable, and suggest enhancements based on the analysis of competitive digital channels and industry trends

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in and leading cross-functional teams in an agile environment
  • Project management
  • SCRUM/Agile Development
  • Preferred experience working with an e-commerce, account, or loyalty product
  • Web Analytics and KPIs
  • Excellent detailed written and verbal skills
  • Digital commerce in the travel industry or other e-commerce industries
  • Completed Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (Technical/ Business/ Science)
  • Experience using data to make decisions and prioritization
  • Principles of target markets and customer segments
  • Proven experience in backlog grooming, user story development and prioritization
  • Experience managing responsive design with a large consumer footprint
  • User Experience within responsive design
  • Advanced knowledge in the following practice’s:
  • 5+ years of experience working in digital or emerging technology
