Job Responsibilities:
- The Recruitment Officer will assume responsibility for the development, planning, preparation and implementation of recruitment strategies for Teacher Education, Continuing Teaching Education, Graduate Programs and Additional Qualifications, International Baccalaureate, and Certificate programs.
- The role will visit locations around the world in order to develop and build relationships, promote Western University, and to attract high quality students to undergraduate, graduate, additional qualification, and certificate programs.
- In doing so, the role will act as a first point of contact and will represent Western at education fairs, secondary school and college visits, and other related events locally, nationally and internationally.
- The Recruitment Officer will also provide advice, and respond to inquiries from students and other stakeholders in regards to Western’s programs and service offerings, the application and admissions processes, funding sources, housing options, and international exchange opportunities and transitions.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with students, internal and external clients
- Presentation skills to deliver engaging and informative presentations that clearly explain information to audiences using appropriate communication channels
- Strong interpersonal skills that build positive relationships with students, staff, faculty, and external contacts
- Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment
