Job Responsibilities:

  • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems; Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
  • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size;
  • Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system;
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system;
  • Test system for leaks using testing equipment;

Job Requirements:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications; Instruct apprentices; Liaise with management, engineers and other trades
  • Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
  • Drug test; Criminal record check; Basic security clearance
  • Effective interpersonal skills; Team player
  • Steamfitter and Pipefitter Red Seal Certificate; Steamfitter and Pipefitter Trade Certification
  • Fast-paced environment; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding; Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling
