Job Description:
The Real Estate Officer provides business analysis and implementation of the USask real estate mandate in compliance with institutional processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates project leadership skills within IPLD, in order to keep projects on track and follow-through to completion.
- Develops financial and analytical models; performs cost-benefit and sensitivity analysis; identifies potential risks, issues and constraints; estimates probabilities; and formulates recommendations for use by Real Estate Specialist and Manager, Campus Planning and Real Estate.
- Prepares cost-benefit analysis which include forecasting and scenario formulation.
Other duties as assigned. - Applies a business lens and uses financial analysis as the basis for working effectively with other units to obtain consensus, resolve conflict and arrive at decisions.
- Develops process and communications materials about development permits, leasing, real estate etc. for institutional sharing.
Builds and maintains relationships that facilitate the exchange of information and ideas.
Job Requirements:
- Three to five years of related experience in real estate, business analysis, business research, negotiation, and report writing in an action-oriented business office setting.
- A high degree of motivation, combined with a sound knowledge of financial analysis techniques and real estate valuation principles; professional confidence to formulate forecasts and recommendations that support sound decision making
- Bachelor of Commerce or other business-related degree. Completion of or working towards a professional designation, such as BOMI, in real estate or property management may be considered an asset.
