The Lab Technician/Medical Office Assistant conducts specified testing with clients and provides support to patients, physicians and administrative staff as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating external referrals and communicating with other physicians’ offices
  • Ensuring examination rooms and change rooms are tidy and fully stocked with medical supplies and toiletries
  • Conducting vision, hearing and spirometry testing
  • Supporting physicians as required
  • Performing resting ECGs
  • Completion of DOT & Non-DOT drug testing, as well as all related paperwork

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision while delivering the highest level of patient care
  • Minimum of one year previous and relevant experience preferred
  • Experience performing resting ECGs an asset
  • Post-secondary diploma in medical lab technologies
