Job Description:
This position ensures that the technical delivery of maintenance projects is in keeping with project requirements and in accordance with the company’s Project Delivery Standard (PDS), Practice of Engineering (POE) and Canada Gas Engineering Management Framework.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for determining and maintaining records of project engineering basis of design, including; functional and performance requirements, applicable regulatory requirements, information derived from previous similar designs, and any other requirements essential for design
- Coordination of engineering design work, including interdisciplinary reviews, execution of design work, design support for shop and field work, validation of design and design support for project close out
- Draft and facilitate completion of technical project documents including: Design Basis Memorandums (DBM), technical descriptions, scope of work, evaluation of alternative options, etc.
- Coordinate engineering activities with design disciplines to deliver timely and efficient internal drawing reviews and deliver the issued for construction drawings
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preference for Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline)
- Registered, or eligible to register with, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), or equivalent, as an Engineer-in-Training
- A strong and demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the environment and quality
