Job Description:

The Regional President position provides site leadership, builds strong customer relationships, manages the Sales group, owns the P&L for the facility, and leads and shapes a productive, positive, and inclusive workplace culture and climate. This role also interfaces with corporate teams as required. Oversight and matrix reporting responsibilities at the site include sales, operations (warehouse, transportation & logistics), merchandising, human resources, finance, and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assumes ultimate responsibility for the site’s P&L – includes managing pre-tax income, revenue, margins, expenses, inventory, and accounts receivables.
  • Understand, interpret and use complex financial and operational data and metrics that drive a P&L.
  • Able to develop, implement and oversee business strategies that locally operationalize market and corporate annual operating plans. Involves the ability to manage vendor, customer and other stakeholder relationships.
  • Leads the Sales team’s efforts to strategize, identify, propose, and commit resources sufficient to capture new sales and grow market share.
  • Possess technical knowledge of culinary and food service industries to converse with and influence key customers and community stakeholders. Knows market potential and trends.
  • Diagnose business problems and create improvement interventions. Involves the design, implementation, and management of small to large-scale organizational change initiatives.
  • Visits customer locations frequently to manage relationships, address concerns, assess customer needs and opportunities for volume growth.
  • Work with and use quantitative analyses related to productivity, financial data, sales, merchandising, and safety using graphs, spreadsheets, and various other data reports.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures
  • Experience in developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Strong program management, strategic thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving characteristics
  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a leadership role, with at least five (5) years as a core member of a senior leadership team
  • Deep understanding of the food service industry
  • Exposure/familiarity to Lean Six Sigma environment is an asset
