Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards, the Manager, Compensation supports the design, development and delivery of base and incentive programs for Rexall Pharmacy Group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes the effectiveness of existing programs to include pay-for-performance and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Leads direct reports, supervises day-to-day activities and provides training/mentoring as necessary. Sets/reviews performance goals and provides regular performance feedback.
  • Designs, develops and delivers a wide variety of training and communication programs and materials to educate managers and HR team members on compensation programs.
  • Designs, develops and delivers short-term incentive programs to include annual incentive, commission and bonus plans.
  • Assists in the design of compensation programs or consults on individual compensation levels relevant to organizational design, culture, market practices and internal equity. . .
  • Establishes a comprehensive internal and external network to evaluate the need, acceptance and readiness of programs, and to maintain currency on market practices and influences.
  • Serves as a Job Evaluation subject matter authority, member of the Rexall Job Evaluation Committee.
  • Leads market intelligence process, supervises total rewards surveys participation and analysis to ensure Rexall’s competitive market position.
  • Designs, develops and delivers base compensation programs to include market pricing and corresponding pay structures development.
  • Analyzes the cost/benefit impact of designed programs using routine to highly sophisticated financial models.

Job Requirements:

  • Proficient use of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; ability to utilize higher-functioning tools in Excel such as If/Then statements, pivot tables.
  • Experience with metrics and dashboards is required;
  • Ability to create innovative new insights to attract, retain and empower team members through compensation-related programs that are flexible to the business needs of the company; .
  • Solid understanding of Job Evaluation methodology.
  • Coaching and people leadership skills, ability to provide day-to-day mentorship as well as motivational direction to two direct reports;
  • Subject matter authority on all areas of base and incentive compensation design and delivery; understands general market and industry trends and how to craft programs to balance external influences and internal needs
  • At least two years supervisory/management experience preferred;
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation or working towards or equivalent;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field and 5+ years of progressive compensation experience, including 3 years with incentive planning, design and administration;
  • Detail and deadline oriented, high degree of accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
