Job Description:
Understands, collaborates, liaises, and communicates with internal and external stakeholders to plan and address information systems changes to meet current and future business requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages risk effectively, anticipates challenges, investigates issues, and makes recommendations for solutions, understanding cross-functional impact.
- Occasionally required to work on-call after normal business hours.
- Supports and influences the decision-making process through consensus building when conflicting requirements or processes are identified.
- Performs complex problem diagnosis, detailed analysis and completes investigation of systems failures or issues. Provides recommendations on corrective actions.
- Supports business requirements and information needs by using query and reporting tools.
- Updates and shares technical and business knowledge to remain current on changing systems and business processes.
- Maintains a complete understanding of data definitions, data usage within the administrative applications and data retrieval methods.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in computer science, information management, business administration or related field combined with a minimum of 5 years business analyst experience.
- Minimum five years experience with administrative information systems and online/web- based applications.
- Knowledge of and proficiency with business analysis discipline (CCBA or CBAP certification is an asset).
- Detailed knowledge of administrative processes, preferably within a university environment.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of project management methodologies (PMP certification is an asset).
- Demonstrated leadership role through previous organizational process improvement.
