Job Description:

As part of the Employer Reporting (ER) Department, you will work on a self-directed Member Data Service (MDS) team. The MDS team has a strong partnership with our client facing, Member Experience team, and share common goals and values in providing superior member experiences to the teachers of Ontario.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verify a range of member payroll and service data for completeness and accuracy
  • Determine sources for data discrepancies between system issues and data issues
  • Ensure proper billing and calculation of interest for payments; follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Reconcile financial data from school board submissions to balance with OTPP financial records
  • Apply sound judgment to data differences from established data acceptance standards and share decision making logic
  • Respond to a range of hotline, phone, email and website inquiries
  • Actively build and maintain positive internal and external relationships
  • Assist employers in validating their data and support their understanding of the appropriate criteria regarding eligibility, contribution and interest calculations, enrollment, and remittance deadlines
  • Provide proactive solutions to service barriers in accordance with service-level agreements with Member Services
  • Foster partnership with employers and payroll providers, conduct visits and train them on proper reporting practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Analyze and validate service and contributions to ensure data used in member benefit calculations is accurate and resolve discrepancies

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in time management and multi-tasking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build business partnerships with stakeholders
  • Experience in utilizing office tools and systems required for analysis and validation
  • Post-secondary education or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve a range of data and reporting discrepancies
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Indigenous culture is an asset
