Job Description:

The Logistics and Trade team is committed to unlocking business potential with our Global Fulfillment (i.e. supply chain) partners. Supporting both vendor and proprietary systems, this team provides software solutions to streamline both the delivery of our product from our manufacturing facilities to our global fulfillment centers and the lifecycle of international trade to achieve compliance and cross-border financial savings.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively monitor key metrics, reports on trends, and make improvement recommendations
  • Use innovation and automation when possible to provide sustainable solutions
  • Partner with Product Champions, Development and Production Support team members on permanent fixes for recurring issues
  • Be part of rotating support calendar, including on-call schedule
  • Develop and design scalable, secure, modern microservices, test driven development, and cloud native design patterns
  • Work with QA team to test tech debt fixes and coordinate with Dev and release management teams on tech debt deployments
  • Attend daily stand-up calls with analysts & engineers to review open support tickets
  • Use algorithms, data structures, programming language and programming paradigms to create, test and operate sustainable client-side or server-side software applications and services
  • Attend Post-Mortems and work on action items from deployment defects
  • Champion support quality and help establish processes to align with increasing SLA’s

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of software engineering experience, either as a Data Engineer or in design and development of RESTful
  • APIs using Java, JSON, Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
  • Retail industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the ITIL Framework (Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management)
  • Working knowledge with Lenses and/or Splunk preferred
  • Familiar with DevOps principles and practices
  • Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
  • Familiar with Cloud/AWS infrastructure and services
  • Strong business acumen and written and verbal skills
  • Experienced with ServiceNow, JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Integration experience in Kafka or similar messaging platform required
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results
  • Strong working knowledge and experience in relational databases with emphasis on SQL query language and stored procedures
  • Self-starter and has pride in taking initiative
