Job Responsibilities:

  • Plays an important role in CMHC’s crisis communications protocol and on the Incident Management Team, providing support in times of issues and emergencies.
  • Contributes to the development of media relations strategies for the corporation
  • Provides direction to a team responsible for developing and implementing public relations and media outreach campaigns.
  • Oversees employee spokesperson training and tools for employees.

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum of seven years of relevant work experience in media relations, public relations or communications.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in journalism or communications or another relevant field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of Crisis Communications practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of media relations practices and the media landscape in Canada.
