Job Description:
Reporting to the Procurement Superintendent, the Inventory Management Lead is accountable for operational supply inventory management throughout Glencore’s Sudbury Operations as well as overseeing the management of all materials group master data within the SAP and COUPA systems. The primary role is to support the day-to-day operational supply needs of the Sudbury Smelter and Sudbury’s Mine Mill Business Unit to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. The Inventory Management Lead is responsible for 2 OCT Union positions – Material Data Administrators, as well as directing the Warehouse Supervisor who in turn is charged with supervision of 9 OCT Union Warehouse Coordinators. The role plays an active part in the daily warehouse operations and further acts as relief supervisor to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- PMAC accreditation, CSCMP, C.P.P would be considered an asset, however a commitment to pursue accredited status is an expectation as part of further development.
- The position requires a Business administration diploma or degree and / or minimum of Ten years inventory management experience along with procurement and contract negotiations or equivalent combination of education experience or training.
