Job Description:
FedEx Express Canada is seeking an Accountant to assist in the recording, maintenance and review of the company’s financial data through direct responsibility for specified accounts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures that general ledger accounts are materially correct and explains significant variances between accounting periods ; suggests improved procedures for better accounting control.
- Conducts monthly variance analysis for profit and loss accounts, budget versus actual and actual versus trend and provides rationale to management and conducts cost analysis at station level.
- Prepares journal entries to update various general ledger accounts.
Job Requirements:
- Two (2) years professional accounting experience.
- CPA designation or actively working towards
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in Accounting
