Job Description:
You will be part of a team of IT professionals within the Enterprise Systems team and you will design, develop, and support softwares that enables our core services: Finance, HR, and Legal. Projects include designing, developing, and refining new or existing applications and data integrations or configure new or existing applications within these areas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in close partnership with the business stakeholders to design, build, configure and deploy scalable enterprise solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the full-stack software development lifecycle to build and deploy the applications/data integrations and the high performing data engineering solutions.
- Demonstrate technical abilities through modernization, enhancement and maintenance of existing applications, in alignment with CPP Investments’ technology and cloud strategies.
- Provide responsive business assistance while adhering to processes required for quality enterprise-level software development and support.
- Promote development tools and best practices through active team participation, knowledge sharing sessions, and maintenance of documentation on team wiki.
- Participate and contribute to multiple cross functional initiatives with technical and business colleagues.
- Participate in requirements gathering sessions and help with prioritization of requirements.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
- 3-5+ years development experience in a multi-platform IT environment required
- Knowledge of software development best practices and patterns.
- Hands-on experience with the implementation and support of Accounting, HR, and Legal systems and related integrations is a bonus
- Demonstrated experience in modern programming languages (Python, Java, Angular), frameworks (SpringBoot) and database management platforms (MSSQL, Oracle).
