Job Description:
You are responsible for compiling, maintaining and updating digital water, wastewater, utility, road and sidewalks maps and databases, and producing geographically referenced maps and analytical reports using departmental GIS and CAD systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responding to customer enquiries, complaints and/or feedback and providing information through various channels, including but not limited to: telephone, in person, on-line (web, social media) and in writing
- Receiving and processing transportation requests and registration for para transpo service
- Processing financial transactions for fare instruments and other products/services
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of water distribution, wastewater collection systems, roads and sidewalks systems layout and construction techniques
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in water and wastewater systems and GIS
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge of GIS methods and operations, Microstation, AutoCAD, ArcView 8x, SHL Vision* GIS software, FME, ORACLE RDBMS, ITX and SQL PLUS
- Completion of 2 year community college diploma in Engineering or GIS
- Demonstrated ability to produce, maintain and administer water distribution, wastewater collection, utility, road and sidewalk plans and databases within the departmental GIS system
