Job Description:
As an External Communications Student, you will have the unique opportunity to work with some of Canada’s largest retailers and iconic brands: Mark’s and Spot-check. You will effectively assist with day-to-day external communications ranging from writing and editing content, program execution including events and product mailers, media and influencer relations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond quickly to requests by media, internal stakeholders and team members
- Support media relations, media monitoring and reporting
- Conduct research for project planning
- Build influencer relationships, edit content and provide support where needed
- Coordinate sourcing, ordering and shipping of products
Job Requirements:
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, always changing environment
- Microsoft 365 including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
- Knowledge of media monitoring tools + software considered an asset
- Excellent spoken and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy
