Job Description:

Help to design, develop and revise granting processes, workflows and policies that are enabled by new technologies, and which improve the council’s granting operations and client services. The lead coordinates work teams that drive process decisions. This role gathers, synthesizes, and secures validation for requirements on assigned projects related business transformation and to the development and implementation of new technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform other related duties.
  • Supporting Product Owners in the prioritization of development work, the preparation of briefing notes for decision‐making, the coordination of communication strategies, and other activities related to Digital Shift granting projects
  • Developing and delivering training modules related to the project
  • Gathering and logging suggestions for improvements and enhancements to granting systems, processes and workflows
  • Providing detailed business requirements for assigned projects, based on knowledge, research, working group input and data analysis
  • Providing status reports, reviewing issues, and making recommendations to Product Owners
  • Developing work‐around processes resulting from deferred requirements
  • Coordinating and facilitating working groups to advise on specific topics
  • Contributing to the development of project scope, objectives and success criteria and coordinating project progress within those parameters for granting activities

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent initiative, facilitation, judgment, adaptability, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills Critical thinking demonstrated by the ability to structure thought process logically and to weigh pros and cons of potential solutions to problems
  • Strong self‐motivation, organizational and priority management skills
  • Two (2) years of experience working with an organization that issues grants and contributions, such as an arts funder, government department or foundation
  • Strong communications skills, the ability to write and speak in clear, accessible and compelling language with a high degree of professionalism and diplomacy
  • Strong digital literacy skills and ability to work with new technologies
  • Excellent aptitude for establishing relations, networks and collaborations, including the ability to promote dialogue and obtain consensus
  • An undergraduate degree in arts, business, administration or computing or an equivalent combination of professional experience related to the responsibilities of the position
  • Excellent collaboration, facilitation and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in teams
    Willingness to learn
  • Three (3) years of experience directly related to the principal responsibilities of the position
