Job Description:
The Data Governance Lead is responsible for supporting BGIS data governance strategy and deployment of data governance capabilities across client accounts. They contribute to the overall success of the program by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the BGIS strategy and objectives. They will be the liaison between client accounts and corporate teams to ensure framework and process is established and executed within an operational process to proactively manage data quality and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Present findings and observations to stakeholders, coordinating any follow up actions.
- Facilitate the development and implementation to understand data flow for critical elements and processes.
- Train end-users and team members regarding the management of critical data.
- Proactively analyze data to identify data quality opportunities.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, proactive measurement of data quality and reporting through scorecards.
- Train data stakeholders on data integrity processes.
- Play a key role in establishing and implementing data governance framework, with focus on governing data as an enterprise asset through organization change management/training, policy and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, and related tools.
- Identify tools and procedures to measure alignment to standards and data management maturity.
- Liaison between BGIS and client accounts to establish and implement data governance framework focused on:
- Liaison between business and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for governing data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered part of operational prioritization and planning.
- Develop and maintain business glossary for critical data elements and BGIS master data.
- Lead development and generation of dashboards and scorecards as required or as requested.
- Develop and maintain data inventory including authoritative sources, ownership, and critical data elements with technical and business metadata.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Project management skills to manage projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Ability to increase operating efficiency and product high quality technical solutions.
- Experienced in leading practices including data governance practices and data quality principles and methodologies (5 years+).
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems through collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience in cross collaborating with multiple teams for change management, communications planning, and execution.
