Job Description:
The department of Civil Engineering at BCIT offers a four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board. The flexible, integrated program also allows students to exit with a nationally recognized Diploma of Technology after two years of study. The primary goal of the program is to graduate highly qualified, practically oriented civil technologists and engineers eligible for professional registration. In part, this is achieved through faculty’s excellent ties to industry. Graduates have an excellent record of employment and advancement in the diverse civil engineering industry in B.C. and elsewhere.

- CIVL 1011 Introduction to Civil Engineering
- CIVL 3074 Structural Engineering I
Job Requirements:
- Teaching experiencE
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Master’s degree in civil engineering (a Master’s degree in another discipline of engineering with relevant work experience may be considered)
- Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of fundamentals and current issues in civil engineering
- Registered (or registration expected) as Professional Engineer in Canada or the U.S.A.
- Four years of applicable industry and design experience in North America
- Knowledge of structural engineering
