You will be working in a fast paced, ever changing orthopedic environment. Our unit functions in a team environment using the CoACT model of care. As an Registered Nurse (RN) you will be required to perform in leadership rolls working with the multidisciplinary team. There is opportunity for growth and experience working with our team.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS
Job Requirements:
Applicants must be physically able to perform all duties listed in the Surgical Registered Nurse Job Description and Hazard Assessment Control Worksheet (HIAC) including “working conditions”. Extended periods of sitting and standing are required. Maintains competencies outlined in legislation and the profession through continuous learning. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize workload. Good listening skills and ability to accurately and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
