Job Description:
AECOM is looking for an Intermediate Air Quality Engineer with expertise in odor control, industrial ventilation, and air pollution to be based out of our Thornhill or Mississauga offices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Preparation of technical documents and reports
- Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories.
- Work with internal teams and external clients
- Involvement with the project execution and client meetings
- Utilizes basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.

- Excellent communications skills including report writing, oral presentations, and direct verbal communication
- Professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) is preferable
- Skills or experience in the following areas would be an asset: Pollution Control System design, Industrial Ventilation, GHG inventories/foot print experience, Environmental Impact Assessments/Monitoring & Sampling Programs, Industrial Process, Odour Control Strategy
- Knowledge and experience with the environmental, air quality and provincial government regulatory requirements related to air emissions and environmental permitting
- 4 -6 years on air quality improvement projects, proposal writing, field work and client liaison experience
